Plus Size - Size Guide for Women – Find Your Perfect Fit

Finding the perfect fit is essential when shopping for plus size clothing. At Curvylane, our size guide helps women choose the right size based on accurate body measurements. Whether you’re shopping for dresses, tops, or ethnic wear, use our detailed size chart to ensure comfort and confidence in every outfit.

How to Measure Yourself

Finding your perfect CurvyLane fit starts with taking the right measurements. Use a soft measuring tape and stand naturally without pulling the tape too tight. For the most accurate fit, wear light clothing or measure over innerwear.

How We Work

At CurvyLane, we know that every curvy body is beautifully different.

Especially in sizes 6XL, 7XL and above, no two body shapes are the same. Some women may have a broader upper body, some may have a fuller lower body, while others may have triangle, rectangle, apple or hourglass body shapes. That is why we do not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach for plus-size fashion.

Before creating your outfit, we carefully understand your body measurements, fit preferences and styling needs. For all orders in sizes 6XL, 7XL and above, we offer customized tailoring so that your garment is made specially for you — giving you the perfect fit, comfort and confidence.

Every customized order is prepared only after your order is placed. Once we receive your measurements and requirements, our team begins creating your garment immediately. This complete process is finished within 48 hours, after which your order is dispatched.

Fresh Fashion, Made Only for You

Fashion changes faster than ever. New trends arrive every few months, inspired by movies, OTT series, celebrities and social media. At CurvyLane, we want every customer to receive styles that feel current, trendy and fresh.

Instead of producing large quantities and storing outdated designs, we create products according to the orders placed on our website.

This made-to-order approach helps us:

  • Deliver the latest trending styles to our customers
  • Avoid keeping outdated fashion as permanent dead stock
  • Ensure every garment feels fresh and newly made
  • Reduce unnecessary waste and support a more responsible fashion cycle

We believe fashion should be created with purpose, not waste. By making garments only after an order is placed, we are able to maintain quality, follow the latest trends and care for the environment at the same time.

Designed for Confidence, Up to 13XL

Every CurvyLane outfit is designed with one goal — to make every woman feel confident, stylish and comfortable in her own body.

We take special care that every design reflects body positivity and offers the right fit for every size, from L to 13XL. From fabric selection to stitching and final finishing, each garment is thoughtfully created so that every woman can enjoy fashion without compromise.

Because at CurvyLane, Style has no Size Limit.

1 - How to Measure Yourself

Bust Measurement

Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust.

  • Keep the tape level and straight across your back.
  • Make sure it sits comfortably without squeezing.
  • Stand naturally with your arms relaxed by your side.

A correct bust measurement helps us create a flattering fit that feels comfortable and confident.

2 - Bust Measurement

Waist Measurement

Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, slightly above your navel.

  • This is usually around 2 inches above your belly button.
  • Another easy way to locate it is approximately 15 inches below your shoulder.
  • Relax your stomach and breathe normally while measuring.

Do not pull the tape too tightly it should sit snugly while still allowing you to breathe comfortably.

3 - Waist Measurement

Hips Measurement

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and lower body.

  • Stand straight with your feet together.
  • Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
  • Using a mirror can help ensure the tape stays even all the way around.

Your hip measurement is especially important for getting the perfect fit in dresses, bottoms, and body-hugging styles.

4 - Hips Measurement

Shoulder Measurement

Measure from one shoulder tip to the other.

  • Start at the outer edge of one shoulder.
  • Measure straight across the back to the outer edge of the other shoulder.
  • Look for the “corner” bone where your arm meets your body for the most accurate point.

This measurement helps ensure the garment sits beautifully across your shoulders without slipping or feeling tight.

5 - Shoulder Measurement

Armhole Measurement

To measure your armhole, place the tape at the top of your shoulder and run it around under your arm, then back to the starting point.

  • The tape should pass comfortably under your armpit.
  • Keep it close to the body without pulling too tightly.
  • Make sure there is enough room for easy movement.

A proper armhole measurement gives you better comfort, smoother sleeve fitting, and easier movement throughout the day.

CurvyLane Tip: If you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for a more comfortable fit especially for fitted or Lycra styles.
